Napa Valley offers transit service that can get you where you want to go. The VINE, the region’s fixed-route bus system, provides safe, affordable and accessible transportation for all residents and visitors in Napa Valley. With its community shuttles, it’s easy to enjoy the best of what Napa Valley has to offer.

VINE bus riders can use “Where’s my Bus?” via their computer, smart phone or other web enabled portable device to see exactly when their bus will arrive at any stop in the VINE bus system.

Connecting to Other Transit Systems

Vallejo Baylink Ferry to Downtown San Francisco

If your itinerary includes a trip to San Francisco, take VINE Route 11, or Express Route 29, to the Vallejo Baylink Ferry Terminal where you can board a ferry to the San Francisco Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street.

BART (San Francisco Bay Area)

To connect to the BART system, take the Express Route 29 to the El Cerrito del Norte BART station to get to downtown destinations in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Walnut Creek, to mention a few. Or if you miss the 29 Express you can take SolTrans Rt. 80 to Vallejo and transfer Route 11 to Napa.

AMTRAK Capitol Corridor

Take Amtrak’s motorcoach (bus) Rt. 7 (Under downloads click on Train and Bus schedules.) from Napa to Martinez (a connecting train reservation is required). Then take theCapitol Corridor train westbound to Oakland or San Jose (with motorcoach connections to San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara), or eastbound to Sacramento (with motorcoach connections to Reno and Lake Tahoe). From Martinez, connecting Amtrak train and motorcoach service is also available to destinations throughout California and the United States.

Solano County & Contra Costa County


Here are the transit services that will take you to Solano County and Contra Costa County: A. VINE Route 11 from Napa Valley to Vallejo, with connections to Vallejo Transit Rt. 85 and B. Vallejo Transit Rt. 85 from Vallejo to Fairfield (Solano College & Solano Mall). C. From Fairfield, there is a weekday commuter Napa-Solano Express Route 21. There are also local connections via Fairfield-Suisun Transit including: Rt. 7 to Jelly Belly, Rt. 20 to Vacaville, Rt. 30 to Sacramento, Rt. 40 to Vacaville and Pleasant Hill BART station and Rt. 5 to the Suisun Amtrak station. D.Vallejo Transit Rt 78 from Vallejo to Benicia, continuing on to Contra Costa County (Sun Valley Mall and Pleasant Hill BART station).

Sonoma County

To reach Sonoma County from Napa Valley, take Route 25 from Soscol Gateway Transit Center.  Visit Sonoma County Transit for county-wide service or Golden Gate Transit for regional bus and ferry service including to Marin County and San Francisco.

Lake County

To reach Lake County (including Twin Pine Casino and Clear Lake) from Napa Valley, take VINE Route 10 to Calistoga and transfer to Lake Transit Route 3 (weekday service) at the Lincoln Avenue Bridge bus stop. Lake Transit also operates local routes around Clear Lake and connects to Ukiah in Mendocino County
